Host ‘xxx.xxx.xx.xxx’ is not allowed to connect to this MariaDB server

The message ” Host ‘xxx.xxx.xx.xxx’ is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server is a reply from the MySQL server to the MySQL client.

To resolve this issue go with following way.

  1. Use following  to connect your MySQL server by root user

#mysql -u root

Insert root password.

2. Use following command to see databases.

#show databases:

3. Use Following command to select databases from the list of database.

#use databasename;

4. There is need to give permission to user. Use following command to give permission to user.

#GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON ** TO¬† username@’xxx.xxx.xx.xxx’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘ password’ WITH GRANT OPTION

Replace xxx.xxx.xx.xxx with your IP address.

5. Use following command to reload permissions.

#FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

6. Use following command to logout by root user.

#exit;

7. Now login by using user name which you have created above for example ‘ username’ in above example.

# mysql -u username

Insert password which you have created for this user .
